“Knowledge is power”这句话之前也有听过，在我读《遇见你之前》这部书时，我又重新认识了一次。

“Knowledge is power”这句名言来自伟大的的哲学家弗朗西斯·培根，现在这部英文已经接近尾声，随着阅读的深入，我越来越喜欢这种感觉。

现在，我除了做家务，照顾几个孩子以外，总要抽出两三个小时，戴上耳机沉浸于英文字母的海洋。

这段时间，是我感觉最满足，最快乐的时光。不用去考虑孩子的问题，还有家庭琐事，因为戴着耳机，我好像被孤立起来，待在一个只有我的世界里。

听听英文朗读，再写一写，一边写的时候，看到有自己不认识的单词，就双击一下，单词的词义和发音便会弹出。

这都要感谢现在发达的网络，记得之前我买过一本，英文版的《简爱》，可惜的是当时词汇量有限，也没有现在方便的手机功能，那本书一直躺在我的书柜里。

后来，被我整理出来，放在一个密封的塑料盒里，又被搬去了地下车库。

因为车库漏水，一直没时间整理，前几天突然来劲儿，竟然下车库，把里面被水泡烂的物品都整理出来，最后看到角落的透明盒子，才想起里面的书，打开一看，还晚好无损地躺在那。

昨天，在手机微信的薄荷阅读里看到了这本书，我又冲动地报名参加阅读。

从9月9号开始，持续100天的英文阅读，每天9分钟就可以把当天的内容读完。

这是一次很大的挑战，很想再重温一下这部，虽然之前在上高中时读过，想来以自己现在的思想，说不定能悟到一些不一样的东西。

知识就是力量，我断断续续地读书，现在又通过读书开始写作，它正在慢慢地影响着我，也在慢慢地改变着我。

记得小时候，自己家里穷，上学时挺老师说：只要好好学习，考上大学了，就能改变一个人的命运。

可惜的是，我脑子并不聪明，对学习也只是依靠勤奋，缺少一些天赋，所以我没有改变自己的命运。

现在，我又开始重拾这个信念，希望自己能走的更远，也希望知识真的能改变自己，做到经济上的独立。

最近看的作品不少，也得到了一些收获，比如我经营的头条。前段时间，看完《遇见你之前》写了几篇文章感悟，发布到上面，其中一篇已经2万多的展现，阅读量也达到三千以上。

看到这些数字，我心里很高兴，也算是是一种小收获吧。如果，我想得到更多，就得付出更多，而且还需要有耐心和毅力。

这就好比自己经营头条号一样，只有一天的经营和维护，才能看到自己的成长。

之前，我不知道头条号也需要维护，后来明白之后，开始慢慢地去维护和经营，现在我的头条号已经有一千六百多人了。

也写了一条小爆文，也有一点点的收入，但是这些都不是重点，重点在于对读书和写作的坚持。

总结那些成功的人，他们有的是有天赋的，而有的是依靠自己的勤奋，再加上坚持不懈得努力，最后才成功的。

所以，归根结底，并不是这句话没道理，而是之前的自己缺乏持之以恒之心。

人海茫茫，浮华世间，最难得就是一分坚持。
