"We are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book whose pages are infinite---"

I do not know who wrote those words, but I he always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want to make it.We can take the mysterious, hazy future and carve out of it anything that we can imagine, just like a sculptor carves a statue from a shapeless stone.

We are all in the position of the farmer. If we plant a good seed,we reap a good harvest. If our seed is poor and full of weeds,we reap a useless crop.If we plant nothing at all,we harvest nothing at all.

I want the future to be better than the past.I don't want it contaminated by the mistakes and errors with which history is filled. We should all be concerned about the future because that is where we will spend the reminder of our lives.

The past is gone and static.Nothing we can do will change it.The future is before us and dynamic.Everything we do will effect it.Each day will brings with it new frontiers,in our homes and in our businesses,if we will only recognize them.We are just at the beginning of the progress in every field of human endeor.

 What will matter?

Your wealth, fame and temporal power will shrivel to irrelevance. It will not matter what you owned or what you were owed.

Your grudges, resentments, frustrations, and jealousies will finally disear.

So, too, your hopes, ambitions, plans, and to-do lists will all expire. The wins and losses that once seemed so important will fade away.

Warren Buffet once said: "If you don?t find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die."

Sounds ridiculous in the first place, right? Isn?t that obvious?

And how on earth can it be possible to make money while you sleep?

If you want to he an income, you he to work, right?

But no, what he said is not wrong.

That way which he described as to make money while you sleep is called investing.

Normal middle-class use their skills and time to make money. But the rich use their money to make money. They invest the money that they own now to make ROI, which means return on investment.

It?s not a hard thing to do, because there are a lot of ways to manage your personal finance.

In the past, I usually spent as much as I could earn in a month.

But when I saw this quote of Buffett, I suddenly realized: Isn?t that making all my efforts in vain? Because I he nothing left. I didn?t make anything for my future.

That?s why I started to face the truth of how I was living. And I made some bold changes and began to se money.

I wish that there is a day when I no longer need to work and can use money to make money.

Feeling of Youth

No young man believes he shall ever die.

There is a feeling of eternity in youth, which makes us feel as though we can achieve everything. To be young is to be as one of the immortal Gods.

A vast and endless scene lies before us. We can see no end to the landscape. Some new objects present themselves as we advance. So, at the beginning of life, we set no bounds to our interests or to the chances of satisfying them. We go on in this way forever. We look round in the new world, which is full of life, motion and progress; and feel in ourselves all the strength and spirit to keep pace with it.

It is the simplicity that identifies us with nature, and makes us mistake ourselves for being immortal like the nature. duanwenw During our lifetime we seem to spend a honeymoon in which there is no coldness, quarrel or separation. As babies *** ile in their sleep, we are rocked in the cradle of our way-ward fancies, and helped to sleep by the roar of the universe around us. We drink up the cup of life eagerly without spilling it. And our minds are filled with so strong desires that we he no room for the thoughts of death.

The Life I Desire

The Life I Desire,That must be the story of many couples, and the pattern of life it offers has a homely grace1.

It reminds you of a calm stream with little fish swimming freely up and down in it and birds flying in the sky. It winds *** oothly through green farms and is shaded by pleasant trees till at last it pours into the vast sea. However, the sea is so calm, so silent and so indifferent that you are troubled suddenly by an unclear uneasiness3. Perhaps it is only a bend in my nature, but it was strong in me even in those days.

I felt that there was something wrong in such a way of life, while the way of life was shared by most of people. I recognized4 the social value of this way of life. I saw its ordered hiness and I saw its nature of peace, calm and shyness, but a fever in my blood asked for a wilder course. There seemed to be something alarming in such easy delights. In my heart, my desire was to live more dangerously. I would go on expeditions through jungles which were filled with difficulties and danger. duanwenw I would fly on horseback through grasslands as fast as the horse could run. I would try to jump into the high sky and raft in the white water. I was always ready to climb rough rocks and steep cliffs.

Swallows may he gone, but there is a time of return; willow trees may he died back, but there is a time of regreening; peach blossoms may he fallen, but they will bloom again. Now, you the wise, tell me, why should our days lee us, never to return? - If they had been stolen by someone, who could it be? Where could he hide them? If they had made the escape themselves, then where could they stay at the moment?

I don't know how many days I he been given to spend, but I do feel my hands are getting empty. Taking stock silently, I find that more than eight thousand days he already slid away from me. Like a drop of water from the point of a needle disearing into the ocean, my days are dripping into the stream of time, soundless, traceless. Already sweat is starting on my forehead, and tears welling up in my eyes.

Those that he gone he gone for good, those to come keep coming; yet in between, how swift is the shift, in such a rush? When I get up in the morning, the slanting sun marks its presence in my small room in two or three oblongs. The sun has feet, look, he is treading on, lightly and furtively; and I am caught, blankly, in his revolution. Thus--the day flows away through the sink when I wash my hands, wears off in the bowl when I eat my meal, and passes away before my day-dreaming gaze as reflect in silence. I can feel his haste now, so I reach out my hands to hold him back, but he keeps flowing past my withholding hands. In the evening, as I lie in bed, he strides over my body, glides past my feet, in his agile way. The moment I open my eyes and meet the sun again, one whole day has gone. I bury my face in my hands and hee a sigh. But the new day begins to flash past in the sigh.

What can I do, in this bustling world, with my days flying in their escape? Nothing but to hesitate to rush . What he I been doing in that eight-thousand-day rush, apart from hesitating? Those bygone days he been dispersed as smoke by a light wind, or evaporated as mist by the morning sun. What traces he I left behind me? He I ever left behind any gossamer traces at all? I he come to the world, stark naked; am I to go back, in a blink, in the same stark nakedness? It is not fair though: why should I he made such a trip for nothing!

Life is full of miracles. They surround us every day. One of these miracles hened to me recently. I was filling my car?s tank at a local gas station. It was only 10 A.M. but I already felt tired. It was a cloudy, gloomy and rainy day and I hadn?t slept well the night before. After I paid for the gas I turned my car towards the main road. I looked right and left then my brain sent the signal for my foot to push on the gas pedal but nothing hened. Shocked, I shook my head to clear it and gazed down at my foot.

Just as I did, though, a semi-truck roared past my car doing 60 mph. My weary, bleary eyes hadn?t seen it when I had looked just 2 seconds earlier. If I had been pulling out when I should he been my little green car would he been smashed and I would he most likely been killed. I sat there for a long time quietly thanking God for sparing my life before pulling out on the road and heading home. This time both my brain and foot worked perfectly.

As I looked back on that moment later I still couldn?t understand it. Did God prevent my brain?s signal from reaching my foot? Did an angel grab my toes to keep them from pressing on the gas? One question kept coming back into my mind as well: why? Why did I get this miracle? Why did God spare my life this day? Finally, I felt the answer forming deep within my heart and mind. I heard the words coming from my soul saying: ?You still he more to do. Your work is not done yet!?

Richard Bach wrote: ?Here is the test to find if your mission on Earth is finished: if you are alive it isn?t.? Wake up each day then knowing that your mission isn?t done yet. You he more love to share, more people to help, more kindness to give. You he one more day to be the miracle God meant for you to be.

 The Coffee Place

I used to believe courtesy was a thing of the past. Very seldom he I encountered a courteous human being in this modern era of the so called Generation X.

Recently, I had to change my thinking, when I came face to face with just such a human being. I had gone to a hening coffee place, with two of my grown up daughters. The place was crowded with the usual loud crowd and we had to climb a steep flight of stairs in order to find an empty table. After enjoying coffee and snacks, we were at the steep descent down the stairs, where the narrow space made climbing down only possible in a single file, with hardly any space for another person to either climb up or come down.

Just as I was in the middle of my descent, a gentleman entered the main entrance of the restaurant which was right in front of the staircase. I was sure I would be pushed roughly by this man who will want to go up in a hurry. I kept coming down as fast as I could, holding on to the bannister, in lieu of my advanced years. My agile daughters were already down, looking up at me worriedly, hoping I would reach them before the stranger started up the stairs, knowing I was a nervous sort.

Nearly reaching them, I noticed the man still standing near the door. I reached my daughters and passed the stranger at the entrance door which he kept holding open. I looked back thinking he was still at the door, deciding whether to go in or find another less crowded place. I saw him going up the stairs, two at a time. I told my daughters about it and all three of us felt bad that we did not even thank the courteous gentleman who was actually holding the door open for us ladies to pass through before going up.

We lauded his chivalry for both, waiting for us to come down before going up himself and also holding the main entrance door open for us to go out. Such well mannered people are hard to find these days, when shoving, jostling and pushing is very common in our advanced but aggressive society. Till date, I remember this gentleman and pray to God to make more human beings like him.

As a recent Stroke Survivor and Author of You Will See God?s Miracles If Only You Believe (ailable for purchase on Amazon), I am here to share some crucial life-lessons I learned in recent years concerning well-balanced lifestyles, how to divert personal disasters, and the art of listening to what your body and mind is trying to tell you.

As an executive, my plate was filled to overflowing. I basically worked from sun up to sun down, so to speak.

Prior to my stroke, I thrived in my role as CEO of a successful chamber of commerce.

To balance the stress, I would work out at the gym a minimum of two hours a day, seven days a week. There were even days, when I would go to the gym twice in one day. What I did not realize, was that stress in my work life and excessive workout regimen was taking a toll on my health.

Friday December 20, 2013 will be forever etched in my memory. That fateful morning, I was exhausted, and my spirit told me to stay home and get some much-needed rest, but I didn?t listen. Driven by my ambition, I jumped out of bed and drove to the gym for a vigorous work-out.

As a result, I suffered a severe hemorrhaging stroke induced by a rigorous work load and around-the-clock schedule. During my time in the hospital, the neurologist told me something very startling,? It was your drive that got you in here, and your drive will get you out.? Then, he said something that stunned me. I asked him if I had stayed in bed that morning, would I he had the stroke? He said a resounding? No.?

A man was going to the house of some rich person. As he went along the road, he saw a box of good les at the side of the road. He said, "I do not want to eat those les; for the rich man will give me much food; he will give me very nice food to eat." Then he took the les and threw them away into the dust.

He went on and came to a river. The river had become very big; so he could not go over it. He waited for some time; then he said, "I cannot go to the rich man's house today, for I cannot get over the river."

He began to go home. He had eaten no food that day. He began to want food. He came to the les, and he was glad to take them out of the dust and eat them.

Do not throw good things away; you may be glad to he them at some other time.

Whether sixty or six, there is in every human being's heart the lure of wonders, the 1.unfailing childlike etite of what's next and the joy of the game of living. In the center of your heart and my heart there is a wireless station: so long as it receives messages of beauty, hope, cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long are you young.

2.Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity,of the etite for adventure over the love of ease. This often exists in a man of sixty more than a boy of twenty.Nobody grows old merely by a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals.

3.Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul. Worry, fear, self-distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust.

And a heen in a wild fllower,

Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,

And eternity in an hour.

永恒也就消融于一个时辰。If you were a teardrop;

In my eye,

For fear of losing you,

I would never cry.

And if the golden sun,

Should cease to shine its light,

Just one smile from you,

Would make my whole world bright.

The language of eternal question.

What language is thy answer, O sky?

The language of eternal silence.

Asks the Possible to the Impossible,

Where is your dwelling-place?

In the dreams of the impotent, comes the answer.

Pluck this little flower and take it, delay not! I fear lest it droop and drop into the dust. I may not find a place in thy garland, but honour it with a touch of pain from thy hand and pluck it.
